Clemens Pasda

Clemens Pasda (* 1964 ) is a German prehistorian .

Life

Clemens Pasda studied prehistory, geography as well as prehistory and early history at the Universities of Tübingen and Basel from 1984 to 1992 and received his doctorate in 1993 from the University of Tübingen . After working at the Saxon State Office for Archeology in 1994, he was employed at the University of Tübingen from 1994–95 and at the Brandenburg State Museum for Prehistory and Early History from 1996–97 . In 1998 he went as a senior assistant at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg , where he in 1999 with a thesis on "hunter-gatherers in the archaeological context" habilitated .

In 2003 he was appointed professor of prehistory at the Institute for Prehistory and Protohistory at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . Here he took over the management of the archaeological excavation and research of the old Paleolithic site of Bilzingsleben in northern Thuringia.
