Clemens Walther is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Walther, who started for BSG Chemie Lauscha and later for SC Motor Zella-Mehlis , celebrated his first successes on a national level. For the Four Hills Tournament 1968/69 he appeared for the first time internationally, but he only jumped in Oberstdorf and took 16th place. In 1969, when jumping on the Inselbergschanze in Brotterode , he improved the hill record by 1.5 m to 100.5 m. He also took part in the Four Hills Tournament in 1969/70 , this time in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen . He landed in Oberstdorf in tenth place, which was his best single placement on the tour. On January 1, 1970, he jumped to 29th place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Today Walther works for the Thuringian Ski Association and lives in Oberweißbach .
