Clément Reix (born October 9, 1983 ) is a French tennis player .

Career

Before Reix regularly played professional tournaments, he completed a degree in management from 2003 to 2007 at Clemson University in South Carolina . During this time he also played college tennis .

From 2007 he first took part regularly in tournaments of the third-class ITF Future Tour , where he won his first title in doubles in 2007 and singles in 2008. He also reached his first semi-final in doubles in Cherbourg, France . He finished the year the highest so far with rank 614 in singles and 528 in doubles. After the year 2009 was less successful, he managed to achieve better results again in 2010. In Orbetello he qualified for the first time in singles for a Challenger tournament, where he was able to prevail against Juan Pablo Brzezicki at the beginning . In addition to two qualifications for Challengers, he also won three futures, which meant he was able to finish the year in 280th place for the only time in his career in the top 300. In 2011 he played other Challengers and was able to increase his individual ranking to 250th - his career best. In 2012, Reix managed to reach the quarter-finals from qualifying both in Dallas and a little later in Rimouski . He reached the peak of his career in September 2012 when he qualified for an ATP World Tour tournament in Metz on the ninth attempt . There he won against his compatriot Édouard Roger-Vasselin , but then lost to the top seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga . In the following years, however, he was unable to build on this success. He played his last professional tournament in September 2013. In his career he won eight future tournaments, six of which were singles.

He is married to the French tennis player Shérazad Reix .
