Clementine Pellegrini , née Clementine Moralt ( October 8, 1797 in Munich - July 7, 1845 there ) was a German opera singer ( Kontra-Alt ).

Life

Moralt, born in Munich in 1797, was trained there and was employed as a court and chamber singer in 1817. In 1820 she became a member of the Italian opera and in 1826 she and her husband Julius Pellegrini (married in 1824) went to German opera. She worked for the same until 1843. She was an excellent contralto with a beautiful voice and an educated and soulful presentation. Her successes on stage were not insignificant, but she was even more valued as a church and concert singer. The artist died on July 7, 1845 in Munich.

The grave of Klementine Pellegrini is in the old southern cemetery in Munich (grave field 16 - row 12 - place 12/13).

Her parents were the musician Adam Moralt (1748–1811) and Maria Anna Kramer. She had at least eight siblings:

Her husband was the opera singer Julius Pellegrini (1806–1858), and her grandson the violinist Alfred Pellegrini (1887–1962).
