Cleve Warnock

Cleve Warnock is an American rockabilly musician born from Atlanta , Georgia .

Life

Cleve Warnock started his career in 1954 as a country musician in the WJAT Jamboree from Swainsboro . In 1955, with only his guitar and an electric guitarist , Warnock recorded his first album, My Baby Is Gone / You're The Only One That'll Ever Do, for Stars Records , which was released that same year. In 1957 another single was released on the Stars label. This was distributed by Bill Lowery , one of the most powerful men in the publishing business. Around 1960 Warnock founded his own label, Mark-IV Records, and produced Tommy Roe's first recordings. Warnock also recorded a duet on Mark IV with Willa Crisp. Between 1961 and 1963 he could be heard regularly on WGST from Atlanta.
