Clinton "Clint" Scott Hill (born October 19, 1978 in Huyton , Liverpool ) is an English football player who is under contract with Carlisle United .
Career
Clint Hill was born in 1978 in Huyton , a neighborhood in Liverpool . He began his career in Birkenhead on the River Mersey opposite Liverpool with the Tranmere Rovers . For the club he played in youth until 1997. In the 1997/98 season he made his professional debut in the second division game against Nottingham Forest . From the 1998/99 season he was a regular for the Rovers in four seasons . At the end of the 2000/01 season he rose with the club as bottom of the table in the 3rd league. After the direct resurgence was not achieved, he committed league rival Oldham Athletic for a transfer fee of £ 225,000. For Oldam, Hill only played 18 games after a broken leg. After just one season, he moved to second division Stoke City for a six-figure fee. However, under Tony Pulis he was only a supplementary player. Hill was loaned from November 2007 to January 2008 to Crystal Palace FC , who committed him after good performance. In August 2010, the 31-year-old moved to the Queens Park Rangers . With the Rangers he won the English second division championship in the first year . In the 2011/12 season, Hill was briefly loaned to Nottingham Forest. After a total of 169 league games, Hill moved to the Glasgow Rangers in Scotland in 2016 at the age of 37 . Hill only stayed there for a season. He then signed a contract with Carlisle United .
