The clymeniida (Clymeniida) are an order of Upper Palaeozoic ammonites (Ammonoidea). They represent important key fossils in the Devonian .
features
The housings vary from thin-disk-shaped to thick. The navel is wide or closed. In contrast to all other ammonoid areas, the siphon is dorsal. The formula of praise is LI with many modifications during the evolution of the group; z. B. Development of an E, A and U lobe. The forms are generally weakly ornamented with lines of growth or with weak ribs.
