The Cockscomb Buttress (English for cockscomb pillar ) is a striking, isolated and 465 m high rock massif in the south of Coronation Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It rises 1.5 km northwest of Echo Mountain on the east bank of Norway Bight .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out the descriptive naming following measurements in 1950.
