Code Red organization is a German Groove Metal - band from Freiburg .

history

The band was founded in 2014 by guitarist and singer Frank Ungewickel von Toxin . With the second guitarist Heiko Kratz and the rhythm section consisting of bassist Klaus Kirschbaum and drummer Tilman Collmer, the group is seen as a continuation of the thrash metal band Ungewickels, which existed as Code Red in the 1990s .

After its re-establishment, Code Red Organization was booked as the opening act for international artists such as Pro-Pain , V8 Wankers , Slapshot or Madball . In 2015 various concerts took place in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland and Croatia as well as a tour as a support act for The Exploited . In autumn 2016 the group toured Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. In the same year the label Showtime (SPV) released the debut album Deceiver . The album received rather mediocre reviews from the critics. Rock Hard magazine awarded 6 out of a possible 10 points and summed up Deceiver as a "soundtrack for chopping wood or punching sandbags, but rather boring when full of attention."

style

The band plays simple groove metal and is compared to Face Down and 2 Tone Predator . Hendrik Lukas describes the music in Rock Hard magazine as "fat, groovy, slightly hardcore, Asian-roaring aggro-thrash."
