Codename: Eagle is a computer game developed by Refraction Games in 1999 .

The game deals with the events of 1917 in Russia in a parallel universe. Both the First World War and the October Revolution of 1917 never took place. You play "Red", an employee of the secret organization "Shadow Command". The goal is to uncover Tsar's plans for Europe. It was also voted in the GameSpy's 25 Most Memorable Games of the Past 5 Years .

Gameplay

Codename Eagle uses the Refractor Engine, which also served as the basis for Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 .

In multiplayer mode, you can play in one of three modes: Deathmatch , Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag .

Above all, the ability to control all boats, vehicles and planes yourself was an innovation at the time of the appearance, which gave the multiplayer games a completely new dynamic.

Modifications

In 2003 the modification "CE Mod" for Battlefield 1942 appeared . The multiplayer mode is similar to that of Codename Eagle , but it supports up to 64 players. In 2005 'CE Legends' was released for Battlefield 2 by the same developers.
