Fırat Pozan (born November 19, 1989 in Elazığ ) is a Turkish Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 58 kilograms.

Pozan came to Taekwondo at the age of eleven at the Gazi Osman Paşa Kulübü association . He has been part of the national team since 2005. Pozan fought his first international title fights at the Junior European Championship in Baku in 2005 , where he reached the final in the class up to 48 kilograms and won silver. In the same year he made his adult debut at the European Championships in Riga . Surprisingly, he made it into the semi-finals in the class up to 54 kilograms and won bronze. At his first World Cup in Beijing in 2007 , Pozan was eliminated in the opening fight. The 2008 European Championships in Rome were successful . In the class up to 58 kilograms, he made it to the semifinals and again won an EM bronze medal. Pozan was able to reach the round of 16 at the 2011 World Cup in Gyeongju , where he was eliminated by Yulis Mercedes , but achieved his best ever World Cup result. The following year he reached the semi-finals at the European Championships in Manchester . After a defeat against Moussia Cissé , he won his third European Championship bronze medal.
