The Codex Mosquensis II ( Gregory-Aland no. V or 031 ; von Soden ε 75) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament , which is dated to the 9th century. The manuscript has not been completely preserved.
description
It consists of the four Gospels on 220 parchment sheets (15.7 × 11.5 cm) with gaps (Mat 5.44–6.12; 9.18–10.1; 22.44–23.35; Joh 21, 10 – end). The text is in a column with 28 lines. The letters are small, the text is accented.
The manuscript contains the Epistula ad Carpianum , Eusebian tables, tables of the κεφαλαια, ammonian sections, Eusebian canon , and lectionary markings.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type and is assigned to Category V.
history
The manuscript was formerly in the Vatopedi monastery on Mount Athos and was brought to Moscow in 1655 with many other manuscripts.
The manuscript was examined and collated by Christian Friedrich Matthäi . Konstantin von Tischendorf used Matthäi's book. Gregory saw the manuscript in 1868.
The handwriting was examined by Kurt Treu .
The codex is kept in the State Historical Museum (v. 9) in Moscow .
