The Codex Seidelianus II ( Gregory-Aland no. H e or 013 ; von Soden ε87) is a Greek manuscript of the four Gospels , which is dated to the 9th century. It consists of the four Gospels on 194 sheets (22 × 18 cm), but the codex is missing some parts of the Gospels. The Codex is kept in the Hamburg State and University Library (Cod. In scrin. 91) and a sheet from it is kept in Trinity College in Cambridge (B XVII. 20,21); the Hamburg librarian Johann Christoph Wolf sent the page in 1721 as evidence to the Cambridge librarian Richard Bentley.

description

The manuscript contains κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, the Ammonian sections (but not the Eusebian canon ). There are also stress marks and accents in the manuscript, but these are not precisely set.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text and is assigned to Category V.

The manuscript was brought from the east by Andreas Seidel at the beginning of the 17th century, together with the Codex Seidelianus I. Maturin Veyssière de La Croze bought it at the same time as Seidelianus I. The codex has been in the University Library of Hamburg (Cod. 91), a sheet in Cambridge, since 1838.

The manuscript was examined by Petersen, Richard Bentley , Samuel Prideaux Tregelles , Konstantin von Tischendorf , and Caspar René Gregory .
