Cody ChesnuTT (* 1968 in Atlanta ) is an American Soul - singer and guitarist .

Life

ChesnuTT began his professional career in 2002. Musically, however, he has been active since 1992. In 2000 he recorded his debut album The Headphone Masterpiece , which contains two CDs, in his private “home studio” .

A year later he released a new edition of his song The Seed with The Roots under the title The Seed (2.0) . With this song ChesnuTT was able to penetrate the international charts for the first time. Furthermore, his song Look Good In Leather was used in the commercial for the product AX Instinct .

An album for his 2006 one-man stage project The Live Release , from which only a few songs have become known to a wider audience (including The Last Adam ), has remained unreleased to date. His debut was followed by the EP Black Skin No Value in late 2010 , before he released his second, Landing On A Hundred , in October 2012 - almost 10 years after his first album . In addition to recordings in Memphis , the album was also made in Cologne, where it was co-produced by the German musician Patrice . Since June 2014 ChesnuTT offers the album including the B-sides + Remix EP on its official website for free download.
