The Cold River forms the drain of Cold Lake in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan .
He leaves Cold Lake on the east bank. It flows in an east-southeast direction through the two smaller lakes Pierce Lake and Lepine Lake before flowing into the Lac des Îles . The Cold River has a total length of about 25 km, half of which is accounted for by the two lakes it flows through. The Cold River forms part of a river system that runs from Primrose Lake to the Beaver River .
The course of the Cold River is entirely within Meadow Lake Provincial Park . Canoe tours on the Cold River lead from Howe Bay on Pierce Lake to Lac des Îles and on to the Waterhen River .
