The Primrose Lake is a 444 km² large lake on the border of the two prairie provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta in Canada . The total area including islands is 448 km². 15 km south is the somewhat smaller Cold Lake .
There is also a military missile launch site at Primrose Lake . Between 1970 and 1981 this location was used for the launch of sounding rockets of the Super Loki and Arcas types .
