Colin St. John Wilson
Sir Colin Alexander St. John "Sandy" Wilson , FRIBA , RA (born March 14, 1922 in Cheltenham - † May 14, 2007 ) was a British architect , lecturer and author . His most famous building is the British Library , for which he planned for 30 years.
He married twice. First Muriel Lavendel in 1955, but one year after the divorce in 1971 he married the architect Mary Jane Long in 1972. With Long he has a son and a daughter.
In 1998 he was knighted as a Knight Bachelor .
