Colonia Nicolich is a place in Uruguay in the Canelones department .
geography
Colonia Nicolich is located 23 km northeast of the state capital Montevideo and 10 km northwest of the coast of the Río de la Plata . Nearby is the international airport of Montevideo in the identically named place Aeropuerto Internacional de Carrasco . To the northwest, the Arroyo de Carrasco forms the border to the adjoining area of the Department of Montevideo .
