The Colony Cirque (English for colony boiler ) is a mountain boiler in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the MacDonald Hills of the Asgard Range, it lies immediately east of Mount Knox .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named the basin in 1998 based on the name of the Commonwealth Glacier and thus on the history of Australia from a colony to a sovereign state in the Commonwealth of Nations .
