The Colorado State Highway 12 ( CO 12 for short ) is a state highway in the US state of Colorado , which runs in a north-south direction.

The State Highway begins on US Highway 160 in La Veta and ends in Trinidad on Interstate 25 . South of La Veta, the road first leads through the San Isabel National Forest and then through Cuchara near the Spanish Peaks Wilderness Areas . After crossing the Cucharas Pass , the highway runs through Monument Park and then in an easterly direction to Trinidad.
