The US Highway 87 (short US 87 ) is a north-south United States highway in the United States , the km in 3215 (1,998 mi) of Havre in Montana on US Highway 2 to the Texas State Highway 238 in Port Lavaca in the state of Texas leads. Between Billings in Montana and Raton in New Mexico, it partly follows the same route as Interstates 90 and 25 .
US Highway 185, which opened in 1926 and ran from Cheyenne to Orin , has been a section of US 87 since 1936.
