The US Highway 11 (short US 11 ) is a United States highway in the United States . The highway begins in Louisiana on US Highway 90 near the city of New Orleans and ends on the Canadian border at Rouses Point , New York State . In Canada, the main road is called Quebec Route 223 .
By 1929, US 11 ended south of Picayune on the Pearl River , which forms the border between Louisiana and Mississippi .
Similar to Interstate 35 , the highway between the cities of Knoxville , Tennessee and Bristol , Virginia is divided into two separate roads, US Highway 11W and 11E .
