Columbia Games Inc. ( CGI for short ) is an American manufacturer of board games . He specializes in strategic board games . The company was founded in 1972 under the name Gamma Two Games in Vancouver , Canada by Tom Dalgliesh , Lance Gutteridge and Steve Brewster. In 1982 the company was renamed Columbia Games and the company headquarters moved to Blaine , Washington.
The most successful game from Columbia Games to date is Hammer of the Scots by Jerry Taylor , which was the first winner of the International Gamers Award in 2003 .
Columbia Games has been publishing the pen & paper role-playing game HârnMaster and the associated role-playing world HârnWorld by the author N. Robin Crossby since 1983 .
