Columella (slime mold)
The Columella is the continuation of the stem in the real slime mold . They are located inside the spore-bearing part (sporocarpy) of the fructification ( sporocarp ). In the case of sessile fruit bodies, it is often only formed as spherical or hemispherical elevations. The columella is sterile and the starting point for the scalp .
