As Combined Services Detailed Interrogation Center ( CSDIC for short , German  about "Place of the united services for detailed interrogations" ) are special interrogation centers that the British War Office ( German  "Kriegsamt" ) operated in the period from 1942 to 1947, so during and shortly after World War II .

The purpose was to interrogate prisoners , deserters and prisoners of war intensively and thus obtain important information. The interrogation centers were operated by the War Office together with the British Army and various secret services , in particular MI5 , MI9 and MI14 of the Directorate of Military Intelligence (MI) . In addition to the United Kingdom itself, there were interrogation centers in Belgium , such as in Diest and Spa , and in what was then the British occupation zone , such as the interrogation center in Bad Nenndorf . Interrogation centers have also been established in the Middle East and South Asia .

Other examples are the CSDIC (I) in India for questioning by members of the Indian National Army , on the side of the Japanese Imperial Army fought, and the infamous London Cage ( German  "London Cage" ) in the British capital , where German prisoners , especially members of the SS , were also tortured .
