Comingio Merculiano (born August 29, 1845 in Naples ; † 1915 there ) was an Italian draftsman and illustrator .

Comingio Merculiano studied at the Accademia di belle arti di Napoli . From 1885 he worked as an illustrator at the Naples Zoological Station with Anton Dohrn . There he made the illustrations for Giuseppe Jatta's book I Cefalopodi viventi nel Golfo di Napoli (1896) , for example . His illustration of sea ​​anemones appeared in Richard Lydekker's The Royal Natural History in about 1893 and in Brehm's Animal Life in 1890 .

He also drew views of the Gulf of Naples .

His brother was the sculptor Giacomo Merculiano (1859-1935).
