Insurance Europe
Insurance Europe is the umbrella organization of the national associations of insurance companies in Europe, founded in 1953 , and acts as a lobby group primarily at European level. Until March 2012, the association, based in Brussels, was called the Comité Européen des Assurances .
The association does lobby work.
In loss prevention, Insurance Europe has set itself the task of making the national insurers' knowledge of claims experience and claims research available to interested European circles and making them available for general use in the form of publications. The association also draws up guidelines with regard to insurance issues. In cooperation with the European standardization organization , these guidelines, which are more or less established replacement standards that have been tried and tested over many years, are introduced.
