The Commodore Bay (in the German colonial era Commodore Bay or Commodore Bai is called) is a bay on the north coast of New Britain to the west of willaumez peninsula in the province of West New Britain Province of Papua New Guinea .
The bay belongs to the Bismarcksee and is about 15 km wide and about 8 km deep. Offshore coral reefs block a large part of the access to the bay.
The bay is part of Kimbe Bay , a much larger bay that extends from the Willaumez Peninsula in the west to the island of Duportail in the east of New Britain.
