The Communauté urbaine de Cherbourg is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté urbaine in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . It was founded on January 1, 1971 and comprised five parishes. Its administrative seat was in the city of Cherbourg-Octeville .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the community association was dissolved and transformed into a Commune nouvelle under the name Cherbourg-en-Cotentin .
