reception
Minor Threat is considered a cult band of the hardcore punk scene and a pioneer for the straight edge movement , so the demand for this compilation was correspondingly high. For Stephen Thomas Erlewine from Allmusic , the album is a milestone in hardcore punk and is a good introduction to the hardcore punk scene. However, he also says that many songs no longer sound contemporary by today's standards. Rolling Stone magazine chose the album at number 27 on its 2016 list of 40 Greatest Punk Albums of All Time .
