Computer Othello

Computer Othello ( Japanese コ ン ピ ュ ー タ ー オ セ ロ Konpyūtā Osero ) is an arcade released in 1978 , developed and published by Nintendo . The game is one of the first arcade games, alongside Block Fever , which Nintendo developed after they released a game console called Color TV-Game 6 and all other arcade games. The game was released exclusively in Japan in 1978 . A home version of the video game was released in 1980 for the Computer TV-Game ( コ ン ピ ュ ー タ ー TV ゲ ー ム Konpyūtā Terebi Gēmu ), one of the first consoles released by Nintendo that did not require any external software.

Gameplay

Computer Othello is a minimalist adaptation of the classic board game Reversi , or alternatively known under the name Othello (see Computer Othello ). The screen is solid black with a green grid pattern to insert Othello parts vertically and horizontally. Computer Othello only had ten colored buttons and no joystick for the player.
