Computerworld is a 1967 published computer magazine , which no longer since 2014 printed , but only in digital form appears. The magazine is aimed at specialists in the IT and (financial) technology sector . The editor-in-chief Ken Mingis leads a staff of editors, authors and freelancers who cover various IT topics in companies (with a focus on Windows , mobile apps and Apple ).

Range of topics

Computerworld covers the topics of information technology , emerging technologies and analyzes technology trends. The magazine also regularly publishes special reports such as the 100 Best Places to Work in IT , salary surveys in the IT industry, the DATA + Editors' Choice award, and the annual research forecast. Several articles also describe the impact of immigration to the United States ( H-1B visas ) on their software developers .

International counterparts

The parent company IDG Communications sells the Computerworld brand with the same or a similar name worldwide. However, each country publishes independent content on its own. With the Swedish introduction of the magazine format in 1983, IDG switched to the name Computer Sweden because the name Computerworld was already registered.

Digitization and further developments

In June 2014 Computerworld US said goodbye to its print edition to appear exclusively digitally as Computerworld Digital Magazine .

In 2017 Computerworld celebrated its 50th anniversary with numerous features and articles about their release history.
