Confluence Cone (English for union cone ) is a 500 m high and striking nunatak not far from the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 6 km southeast of Sickle Mountain .
Aerial photographs were taken in 1947 during the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out its survey in 1958. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it so in 1962 because the cone-shaped nunatak is located at the confluence of several glaciers in the Hariot Glacier before its confluence with the Wordie Ice Shelf .
