Conrad Christoph von Ahlefeldt
Conrad Christoph Graf von Ahlefeldt (* 1768 ; † 1853 in Uetersen ) was heir and court lord on Ascheberg , chamberlain, district and high judge in Glückstadt and provost of Uetersen.
Life
He was a member of the influential noble family von Ahlefeldt and was elected on December 31, 1818 as the successor of Josias von Qualen to the monastery provost of the monastery Uetersen . Under his leadership, the provost's house, built by Jasper Carstens in 1734, was completely renovated. During his tenure, Goethe's letters to the Uetersen canon Augusta Louise zu Stolberg-Stolberg were first published , which caused a stir. In 1847 he resigned from his position and died like his wife in 1853 in Uetersen.
