Jonathan Techera , full name Jonathan Leonel Techera Saldaña , (born November 20, 1989 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

Depending on the sources, the 1.80 m or 1.82 m tall striker "Choco" Techera began his career in 2007 at Defensor Sporting . There he made his debut on August 23, 2008, during the Torneo Apertura in the 0-0 game against Club Atlético Cerro , in the professional team. Techera came on the field for the Brazilian Ederson in the 60th minute of the game, but had to leave it six minutes later due to a red card for a brutal foul. In total, he completed eleven league or Liguilla games for Defensor and scored his only goal in the 1-0 win against Juventud in the Clausura 2009. Techera also came to three Copa Libertadores appearances for Defensor, in which he was substituted on.

In the Apertura 2009 he was also on loan in the ranks of the second division club Atlético Rentistas . There he scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Sud América on matchday four.

For the Torneo Clausura 2010 Techera was awarded to Cerro Largo FC for six months . Techera came to five season appearances without scoring, where he was twice on the starting line-up, as well as another use in the Liguilla Pre Libertadores 2009 . He played his last game for Cerro Largo on April 25, 2010 against Liverpool FC . After Cerro Largo's descent, he briefly returned to Defensor in late June.

On June 12, 2010, he signed a one-year contract with the Austrian second division club FC Lustenau 07 . The transfer took place through the mediation of the former Lustenau striker Gerardo Diego Seoane , who recommended Techera to his ex-club.

On August 2, 2010 he succeeded in the home game against WAC / St. Andrä his first goal for the Lustenauer. He scored in the 90th minute to make it 2-2.

Following his time in Austria, he first played for the Brazilian club EC 14 de Julho . In the 2011 Apertura he joined Sud América in August 2011 . In July 2013 he left Sud América after winning the second division championship and first division promotion. First it was reported that he had joined the Honduran club Platense . As part of this loan deal, he enters a league game (no goal) for the club. In mid-August 2013, however, the Club Deportivo Marathón will be listed as his new employer. There he made his debut on August 25, 2013 and scored a goal. Up until his last appearance on April 25, 2014, he had played 19 games and scored two goals. At the beginning of July 2014, Platense loaned it to Deportivo Coatepeque . With the Guatemalans , he played four league games and scored three goals. In early March 2015, the Montevideo-based club signed Boston River Techera. League appearances in the 2015 Clausura and 2015 Apertura are not recorded for him. At the end of January 2016, he joined the second division Huracán Football Club and had three league games (no goal) by the end of the season. At the beginning of July 2016, the Ecuadorian second division Gualaceo Sporting Club signed him . There he is said to have completed eleven league games (no goal). In mid-January 2017, he was initially without a club. At the end of January 2017, he returned to Huracán and has so far (as of:) played one (no goal) for the Segunda División .
