Conrad Peter Laar

Conrad Peter Laar (born March 22, 1853 in Hamburg , † February 11, 1929 in Bonn ) was a German chemist . He introduced the term tautomerism in 1885 .

Life

From 1872 to 1879 he studied chemistry at the Hanover Polytechnic and at the University of Leipzig . In 1879 he received his doctorate . From 1880 to 1884 he worked as an assistant, among others at Kekulé , in Bonn, before he completed his habilitation from 1884 to 1888 at the TH Hannover . From 1895 to 1899 he was an assistant at the Pharmacological Institute of the University of Bonn , from 1902 to 1910 he worked there as a private lecturer in chemistry, particularly in relation to photography. Laar was adjunct professor from 1910 to 1921 , then adjunct professor until 1923, before receiving a full professorship in photochemistry that year .
