Conseil Hill

The Conseil Hill is a turn 500  m high hill on the north coast of Pourquoi Pas Island , off the west coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula .

The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs from the years between 1946 and 1959. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee made the designation on September 23, 1960. It is named after the fictional character of the servant Conseil from the novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by the French writer Jules Verne . Numerous other objects on the Pourquoi-Pas Island were also named after characters from this Roma.
