Constans Nobis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Constans Nobis ( Latin for constant care ) is the title of an Apostolic Constitution with which Pope Paul VI. on July 11, 1975 ordered restructuring and a new division of responsibilities within the congregations of the Roman Curia . This included the dissolution of the Holy Congregation for the Order of the Sacraments and the Holy Congregation for Divine Worship and their union to form the Holy Congregation for the Sacraments and Divine Worship (Latin Sacra Congregatio pro Sacramentis et Cultu Divino ).

Paul VI justified this reorganization with the "constant concern" to implement the wishes of the Second Vatican Council and the recommendations of its confreres and to fulfill the tasks set in the decree Christ Dominus and the Apostolic Constitutions Regimini ecclesiae universae and Sacra Rituum Congregatio .
