Cum Ecclesia
With the Apostolic Constitution Cum Ecclesia (Latin incipit ; German "with the Church") of March 2, 1968, Pope Paul VI. a restructuring of the Archdiocese of Miami (Miamiensis). The suffragan dioceses Pensacola - Tallahassee and Saint Augustine (S. Augustini) already belonged to the Archdiocese of Miami . With this ordinance, the dioceses of Orlando (Florida) (Orlandensis) and Saint Petersburg were founded and assigned to the Archdiocese of Miami as suffragan dioceses. 1984 followed with the founding of the dioceses of Palm Beach and Venice (Florida) two more dioceses.
