Constantin Atanasescu
Constantin Atanasescu (* 1885 , † 1949 ) was a Romanian general .
Life
After attending school, Constantin Atanasescu completed an officer training course and after completing it found numerous jobs as an officer and staff officer in the cavalry . After his promotion to Lieutenant Colonel (Locotenent Colonel) on April 1, 1919, he was transferred to the Supreme War School and was promoted to Colonel (Colonel) on November 24, 1923 . He was between April 1, 1925 and October 1, 1927 Chief of Staff of the 3rd Cavalry Division and was then on October 1, 1927 commander of the 6th Cavalry Regiment stationed in Călărași . In the following years numerous other assignments followed and he was promoted to Brigadier General (General de Brigada) on May 10, 1934 and to Major General (General Maior) on October 25, 1939 . Most recently he was inspector general of the cavalry and retired on June 6, 1940. On October 4, 1944, he was promoted to Lieutenant General (General Locotenent) , this promotion being dated back to January 24, 1942. On February 15, 1947 he became General of the Reserve.
