Constantinos Samaras ( Greek Κωνσταντίνος Σαμάρας ; born May 18, 1984 in Nicosia ) is a Cypriot football player . The defender has been under contract with Ermis Aradippou since 2012 .

Career

Samaras comes from the youth academy of Anorthosis Famagusta and moved up to the first team in 2003. He was released from his contract in the summer of 2007, but returned to Anorthosis six months later without having played for another club in the meantime. In 2009 he signed a contract with APOP Kinyras Peyias . After Samaras went to Ermis Aradippou in January 2011 and switched to Alki Larnaka that same year , he joined Ethnikos Achnas at the beginning of 2012 . There he completed ten league games by the end of the season before moving back to Ermis Aradippou for the 2012/13 season. There he made the promotion to the First Division and in the 2013/14 season he reached the cup final, which was lost to APOEL Nicosia . The revenge followed, however, in the Cypriot Supercup, where they defeated APOEL 2-1 with a goal in the 5th minute of stoppage time. He also took part with his team in the third qualifying round of the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League , where they failed against the Swiss representative BSC Young Boys (0-1, 0-2).
