Constanze Berndt

Constanze Berndt (* 1972 ) is a former German actress and educationalist . She became known through the lead role in the GDR children's film White Cloud Carolin .

Life

For the film adaptation of the children's book White Cloud Carolin by Klaus Meyer, director Rolf Losansky cast a total of around 4,000 children. He assigned the main role of "Carolin" to the eleven year old Constanze Berndt from Rostock . It remained her only leading role in a movie. In 2004 Berndt appeared as herself in the short film Remember , which refers to White Cloud Carolin .

Berndt did not pursue acting any further and studied education . She did her doctorate at the University of Rostock and has been employed there as a research assistant since 2007. Berndt published several essays and writings on the subject of educational science.
