Frances Bunsen (born March 4, 1791 in Bedfordshire , † April 23, 1876 in Karlsruhe ), née Frances Waddington , was a Welsh painter and author. She was the wife of Christian Karl Josias von Bunsen and the older sister of Augusta Hall to Lady Llanover .

Baroness Frances Bunsen was born in Dunsten Park, Bedfordshire. She was one of the five daughters of landowner Benjamin Waddington and Georgiana Mary Ann née Port (1771–1850), and later lived in Tŷ Uchaf, Llanover, Monmouthshire . Her mother was a great niece of Mary Delany . Frances Bunsen was a talented watercolor painter . In July 1817 she married Christian Karl Josias von Bunsen , Prussian ambassador in Rome and later envoy in London. After his death in 1860 she published a treatise on his life.
