Filmkinder is a documentary by the DEFA studio for documentary films by Petra Tschörtner from 1985 .

action

At the beginning, children are asked whether they could imagine playing in a film. Then the cut to two child actors who managed to get a leading role in the DEFA feature film White Cloud Carolin . After a scene from this children's film directed by Rolf Losansky , the two main actors have their own say. Andreas is 13 years old and sometimes he can imagine that his film partner could also be his girlfriend in real life. Twelve-year-old Constanze is happy that she can make this film with Andreas, because it rips, is always funny and looks good, which is why she likes it.

Now we are following a day of shooting that begins with the arrival of the film staff at the location. The children explain the individual processes, such as unloading the lighting technology and setting up the film set . During this time, Andreas and Constanze pass the time playing hide and seek until they are made up. The scene that is being filmed today takes place on a landing stage on which the two film children Hannes and Carolin come closer and fall into the water. Since the director is not entirely satisfied, the scene has to be repeated again. This means that the people and the clothes have to be dried, which is a bit of a challenge for the staff, but then Mr. Losansky is satisfied.

After the day's program has been completed, everything is packed up again and the bus goes back to the accommodation, where the film children chat a little before they go to sleep.
