The name of the group goes back to the title of a song by the Canadian band Shotmaker .
history
controller.controller was founded in autumn 2002 by Ronnie Morris. Gradually, Colwyn Llewellyn-Thomas, Jeff Scheven and Scott Kaija joined them. The band was completed by Nirmala Basnayake (born February 28, 1976), a Canadian of Sri Lankan descent. controller.controller released their debut album X-Amounts in 2005 on the Canadian independent label Paper Bag Records . After Basnayake announced their departure from the band in October 2006, the band broke up.

controller.controller are characterized in particular by their rhythmic post-punk rock and the distinctive voice of their singer.
