The Coolumbooka River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .

It rises at Cathcart west of the South East Forest National Park and flows west along the northern border of the Coolumbooka Nature Reserve , a federal nature reserve. North of Bombala it flows into the Bombala River .
