Coombes is a patch and civil parish in the Adur District in West Sussex , England . It is about five kilometers north of the town of Shoreham-by-Sea on the Adur River .

The roots of the patch go back to the 11th century. It was around this time that the local church was built and houses some of the most important frescoes in England. In addition, the church has one of the oldest single bells (Engl .: single bell) in Sussex . This is estimated to date from 1150, was probably cast in Normandy and weighs around 35 kilograms.
