Coordinates: 29 ° 52 ′ S , 116 ° 1 ′ E The Shire of Coorow is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 4194 km² and has about 1000 inhabitants (2016).
Coorow is located in the west of the state on the Australian west coast about 230 kilometers north of the capital Perth . The headquarters of the Shire Council is in the village of Coorow, where about 170 residents live (2016).

The Coorow Council has eight members. They are elected by all residents of the Shire. Coorow is not divided into districts. The chairman of the council (Shire President) is also recruited from among the councilors.
