Coordinates: 34 ° 17 ′ S , 117 ° 33 ′ E The Shire of Cranbrook is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 3277 km² and has about 1,100 inhabitants (2016).
Cranbrook is located in the southwest of the state on the Great Southern Highway , about 310 kilometers southeast of the capital Perth . The headquarters of the Shire Council is located in the village of Cranbrook, where about 300 residents live (2016).

The Cranbrook Council has nine members who are elected by the residents of the three wards (three each from the East, West and Central Ward). The Council Chairman and President des Shires are also recruited from among the Councilor.
