The Copa del Rey de Rugby (Spanish for Rugby King's Cup ) is the most important rugby union cup competition for club teams in Spain and is subject to the Spanish rugby umbrella organization Federación Española de Rugby . The competition was held for the first time in 1926, making it the country's oldest national title. Until the founding of the league in 1952 and between 1955 and 1969, the Copa del Rey was still called Campeonato de España de Rugby and determined the Spanish champions.
